What skip sizes do you offer?
SKIP HIRE Warrington can provide you with a variety of sizes for the skip: Mini / Midi / Medium / 6 Yard / 8 Yard / 10 Yard / 12 Yard / 16 Yard.
Where can you drop the skip that I order?
No matter where you live, the skip that you order from us can be dropped either on your own property or on the road, outside the house. If you have a construction business, we can arrange a drop at your client’s location.
I want you to drop the skip on my drive way. How much space do I need?
Please take into consideration the fact that a skip must allow for a 9 ft entrance and up to 12 ft of length. In theory, most drives are compatible with these requirements.
Another aspect to consider is the surface where the skip will be placed. The lorry with the skip on it can be really heavy, so make sure that you have a proper surface.
If your drive is not suitable, the alternative is to drop the skip on the road. The law requires a permit for dropping the skip on a public highway, so ask us about it when you order!
What skip size do I need for heavy materials?
If your waste contains heavy items like soil or hardcore, you should order a 10 Yard skip. Generally, all aggregates convert to a tone a cubic yard.
Do I have to be permitted by the local council to drop the skip straight on the road?
Yes, you must have a skip permit but in most cases we are able to arrange this for you if you don’t have one.
What if I cannot obtain a skip license?
In case that your license cannot be obtained, SKIP HIRE Warrington offers a wait and load service. What this means is that the driver and lorry will wait on site for you to load the skip.
Is there something that I cannot dump in the skip?
Yes, the current legislation does not allow you to dump items such as: fridges, freezers, asbestos, fire extinguishers or tires. If your skip will contain assets from these categories, they will be returned to your location and fines may be incurred.
How do I book a skip?
When can I have the skip delivered?
In most cases, we are able to offer you same day delivery if you are based in Warrington or surrounding areas. For customers that have a tight schedule we will do our best to have it delivered exactly when you need it.
If you want us to pick up the skip on a specific date or exchange it, please let us know and we will accommodate this.
How long can I keep the skip for?
SKIP HIRE Warrington allows you to keep the skip as long as you want, using common sense. What this means is likely that someone will check if the skip has been loaded completely after 4 weeks.
If that is the case, the skip will be picked up by the driver and you must order a new one.
